Volunteer Opportunity: Mapping Toilet Apps by Region
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 months (4 hrs a week)
About the Role:
The World Toilet Organization is seeking dedicated volunteers to help us with an exciting global project: creating a “Map of Maps.” This platform aims to showcase all available toilet apps around the world in one comprehensive location. You’ll focus on researching and compiling information about toilet-related applications in your own country or region. This initiative is a crucial part of our mission to increase awareness, accessibility, and usability of sanitation resources globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify toilet apps specific to your country or region.
- Gather contact information and make a database for app developers and providers, including names, phone numbers, and email addresses.
- Organize app data into categories such as accessibility features, operating systems, ownership, adaptability, geographic coverage, and unique offerings.
- Work closely with the World Toilet Organization’s team to ensure that all data is accurate and consistent.
Qualifications:
- Strong research and organizational skills.
- Native or deep familiarity with the assigned country or region.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills for effective outreach and teamwork.
