We are looking for a person with a well-rounded knowledge and understanding of the online space and how it can be used to promote a cause.
Responsibilities:
--Execute our digital strategy to compliment our activities on the ground.
--Create engaging online content and campaigns.
--Manage the work of external vendors and volunteers, such as graphic designers and website developers.
--Stay informed of developments in the fields of marketing and e-communications, to continue to evolve to the best of our abilities.
--Website: maintain our two websites (worldtoilet.org and worldtoiletday.com), and regularly add new content and make changes to make it more engaging.
--Social Media: maintain our Facebook and Twitter accounts, and seek out new ways to reach and engage with people about sanitation.
--Mass emails: handle all mass mailings from creation to execution to measuring impact.
--CRM: help our small team maintain and use our Customer Relationship Management software, Salesforce.
Qualifications:
--The ideal candidate has strong management and interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, is a strong analytical and creative thinker with ability to understand the big picture, manage details and work on multiple initiatives simultaneously. The candidate understands search engine optimization, email marketing, online fundraising, web-based social networking, integrated marketing and communications and has demonstrated, successful experience managing the design and production of online materials.
--A Bachelor’s degree, with proven experience in an e-communications capacity.
--Excellent computer skills and prior experience or aptitude with internet applications including email, customer relationship management or other related database systems, and web applications. Basic knowledge of HTML required.
-- Previous experience developing and managing online creative campaigns, including the management of design and web development vendors.
-- Excellent writing and editing skills. Demonstrated skills in writing and production of online campaign materials. Good verbal communication skills.
-- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in an action-oriented office.
-- Ability to work independently, cooperatively and effectively with public, staff and volunteers.
