About our Nework: Building a powerful global network of 235 member organizations from 58 countries, WTO draws members from all regions to present a unified force and a global voice to address the sanitation crisis.
The United Nations Millennium Development Goal for Water and Sanitation calls for a reduction by half of the number of people without basic sanitation – currently 2.5 billion people worldwide . At current rates, this goal will not be met, and the world will miss the sanitation target by more than 700 million people.
