March 8, 2017

This year we are bringing our 50 Year Sanitation Journey Roadshow to Punggol! Besides our usual exhibition on Singapore’s sanitation history and the global sanitation challenges, we will also be celebrating UN World Water Day with PUB on March the 22nd. Singapore World Water Day (SWWD) is a day designated by the United Nations as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources, similar to UN World Toilet Day on the 19th November.

Many countries commemorate World Water Day to encourage everyone to be stewards of water and use water wisely. In Singapore, World Water Day is an occasion where our People, Public and Private (3P) partners such as schools, grassroots organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations (like WTO), public agencies and private companies organise water-related activities for the community all over the island.

“Make Every Drop Count”, the theme for SWWD 2017, underpins the active role that each of us can play to show we care and appreciate our water. One easy way to save water is use a half flush instead of a full flush for your number ones. Everyone is welcomed to celebrate Singapore World Water Day in their own way. Together, let’s make every drop of water count. Hope to see you at the Punggol roadshow!

Dates: 11th to 26th March 2017

Time: 12pm to 9pm daily

Venue:  Beside Punggol MRT
